About Ramiro y Vicky Granda: Ramiro and Vicky Granda are the owners of Siempre Verde Farm, which has been in the family for generations. Ramiro is the agronomist and Vicky is the operations manager, and their three children are involved in the business as well! Martín takes care of customer relations and outreach, David experiments with roast profiles and sensory analysis, and Emilia creates the farm’s graphics. Martín’s wife does the social media content creation.

Unlike many coffee farms, Vicky and Ramiro employ their team members year-round rather than just for a season. They believe in supporting the farm’s rural community and strive to provide a nurturing environment for their team.

Our connection: Although we have not had the privilege of meeting Ramiro and Vicky, Joel has meet their son David. David and Joel met while judging together in the US Roasting Competition in 2022. Since meeting him and finding out about his family's farm in Ecuador, we have wanted to use one of their coffees in our line up and are so excited it has finally happened.

The Roast Profile and Roast Approach :
While roasting a sample of this coffee the main thing that stood out to us was how sweet this coffee smelled throughout the whole roasting process. After tasting the samples, we were super pleased to find that those sweet aromatics we perceived during the roast showed up in the brewed cup as well. What we enjoyed the most about this coffee are the crisp notes of stone fruit and white grape that are balanced out by its intense sweetness that reminded us of dulce de leche.
